The Scientific Investigation process

Investigations start with an email or telephone call from someone who suspects paranormal activities. When we receive your request, we'll chat with you about your experiences and if we feel there is supporting evidence to be found, we will make arrangements with you to visit your home or business and conduct an investigation.

We will begin by interviewing each member of the household or business to document their experiences. We also will obtain information about the property and land either through information you provide or through town records. If we feel a full investigation is needed, we will make arrangements with you.

Using video equipment, cameras, EMF, EVP and other sensitive material, we will endeavor to find evidence of a haunting or to find an ordinary explanation for the phenomena and put your mind at rest. In some cases, it may be possible to help send your ghost on to the light.

Our services are FREE and completely confidential.

What kind of cases does CMPS accept?

We accept all claims of paranormal phenomenon.  This includes, but is not limited to: spiritual and demonic hauntings, psychic ability, poltergeist activity, occult type activity, angelic encounters, miracles, UFO sightings, etc.

How do you determine what cases you accept?

Cases with the most severe or threatening activity, especially those involving children, take precedence.  We will endeavor to investigate those cases within a day or two of being contacted.  Otherwise, we accept cases based upon the experiences related to us by the client.

How much does it cost to get an investigation from CMPS? Nothing.  We do not charge out clients for anything.

Does distance affect your decision on what cases you accept?  Unfortunately yes.  We are based in Marlboro, Massachusetts and must limit our investigative area for the most part to 200 miles from our base.  However, for an especially intruiging or severe case, we will travel further.

When do you conduct most of your investigations?  Due to the fact that all of us in CMPS have day jobs, except in severe or life-threatening cases, we conduct our investigations on Friday or Saturday nights, allowing us all the time needed to conduct a thorough investigation of the site.

How long does it take for CMPS to respond to a request for an investigation?  If you do not reach one of our case managers immediately, you will receive a call back within 24 hours, most likely sooner, especially if you include in your message that it is urgent.  For a severe or life-threatening case CMPS accepts, we will investigate within 24 hours.  For less severe cases, we will be set an investigation time for 1 to 2 weeks after the your call.

What can you do for me and the paranormal activity I am experiencing?  We are here to listen without judging you. Trust when we say we have heard it all and no experience you relate to us will surprise or shock us.  We will listen, support and do whatever we can to help us by not only conducting a full investigation using scientific methods, but by calling in paranormal and medical specialists if needed.  We will try to find a natural, rational explanation for your experiences but we also believe in the possibility of the supernatural and will try to help you understand what is happening.  We also work with cleints religious, spiritual and cultural beliefs.  Alll of our investigators are professional, training in investigation techniques and in keeping investigations discreet and confidential.
